NewsBusted - September 18

After everything that's happened this week, we need a laugh.  I have the perfect antidote!  Today's NewsBusted from Newsbusters.org.

Why is Michelle wanting to pitch for Olympics?

Next question is why in the hell she's wasting her time.  We have other important issues and she's off running to Europe trying to bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago.  More cronyism at its' best.

I don't recall Bush bringing the Olympics to Texas, or Clinton doing the same for Little Rock.

Full story from Bloomberg h/t Michelle Malkin.

Sunstein said who should interpret law?

And this is Barry's regulatory czar we're talking about.  And newly confirmed.

"There is no reason to believe that in the face of statutory ambiguity, the meaning of federal law should be settled by the inclinations and predispositions of federal judges. The outcome should instead depend on the commitments and beliefs of the President and those who operate under him," argued Sunstein.

Yeah, that's right.  He says Barry should interpret the law.  Which, as you know, goes against the Constitution.  It says that courts decide the law based on the Constitution.

I know about the whole Van Jones deal that preceded this blog.  I agreed with his resignation, and I think Cass Sunstein should be next.

This is another great story from World Net Daily's Aaron Klein. Highly recommended!

Barry's Ties To ACORN

I wake up this morning and I see World Net Daily has put together a couple of excellent articles.  Joe Farah and his crew do a bang up job every day of exposing truth as well as the lies of the current administration.

The one I'm spotlighting here is Barry's ties to ACORN.  If you'll recall during the campaign, Barry put up on his website (and WND has the screenshot of it) that he never worked for ACORN.  That, of course, is a lie.  He did work for Project VOTE, which always has been an ACORN affiliate.  My own research on that yesterday showed me that's exactly what Project VOTE is.  Nice try, Barry.  The thing is, Barry, there's not just ACORN.  There's over 300 ACORN affiliates.  Now the government has to (1) defund them all and (2) pull the tax status from 501(c)3 to 501(c)4 on EVERY ONE OF THEM!  501(c)4 is the status used for political organizations.

That's just one part of the story.  There are many, and I would highly recommend Chelsea Schilling's article!

Maxine Waters under investigation

I saw this tweeted by Judicial Watch, and retweeted it for the community.

Seems that Maxine Waters' husband is an executive at a failing bank in Massachusetts that received $12 million in bailout funding.  That wouldn't be a big deal except that she heavily pressured the Fed to bail out the minority owned bank.  And that the bank executives greatly donated to her campaign.

There's more, but I'll let you read up on that here!

ACORN and Charlie Gibson

Going to combine two stories into one entry here.  But both having to do with ACORN

The first one is:  Charlie Gibson finally knows about the ACORN story (or someone let him report on it).

Hey, Charlie, what happened to hard-hitting late breaking news? You're a week late!

And the second one is ACORN mulling a suit against Fox News and the filmmakers:

From Politico

Sorry, Bertha, but you lose.  There's no racism and no entrapment.  Just people, who happen to work for ACORN, who shouldn't be doing things on tape like helping to commit tax fraud and engaging in prostitution.  Hope you enjoy your long, long, long vacation.

87% of Employers to Reduce Benefits if Health Care Reform Increases Costs

I, and other conservatives, have been trying to warn liberals and all who would listen, that the health care bill will not turn out as advertised.  Yesterday we reported 45 percent of doctors would leave the profession if the bill passes.  Today, we are presenting another poll (this one from Towers Perrin) which says 87 percent of employers (or about 7 out of 8) will reduce benefits on health care.

So, that prediction of 100,000,000+ on the government option (which will be the only option) isn't that far off.

Barry to grab student loans too - all of them

Jake Tapper is among many reporting Barry will try to pass a bill giving government control of student loans to him.

Nice job, Jake and crew

House is voting on this bill as I type.  How much longer can this madness go on??

Deeds on the ropes on taxes

Senator Creigh Deeds of Virginia caught on camera talking out of both sides of his mouth on taxes.

Well, which one is it, Senator Deeds?

ACORN filmmaker calls out MSNBC

Well, Norah O'Donnell isn't the first to suggest it.

But she's the latest person on TV to suggest an investigation into James O'Keefe III and Hannah Giles on their recent ACORN investigation.  We also don't know yet, if there are more tapes.  But we have staff members advising them how to run a brothel on the East Coast.  Then we have a lady in San Bernardino saying she killed her husband in a domestic abuse situation.  Cops can't confirm that yet, but they're looking at it.  And the latest tape had an ACORN worker proposition Giles for sex in a stairwell.

Anyway, O'Donnell is saying today she wants the two tried for entrapment.  One small problem....they're photojournalists, not cops.  Oh and one other problem.....they all seem to be willing to commit the crime on camera.

h/t Amanda Carpenter

Enjoy this!

San Fran Nan really out of touch

How can it be that Nancy Pelosi had no friggin' clue about ACORN?  Or that the Senate passed a bill to defund them?  On the chance that someone in the San Fran area actually reads this, spread the word.

The New York Post somehow got the confession from Pelosi.

Corruption in government, and they'll never figure it out.  VOTE THEM OUT!

Barry distances himself from ACORN

What do you mean Barry is trying to distance himself from ACORN?

Let's do a quick review, boys and girls.  What does ACORN stand for?

Right, it's the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

Now, what did Barry do for a living before becoming Illinois' junior senator?

Right, he was a "community organizer".

Sounds like he's just trying to conveniently forget his past.  I also looked at ACORN's own web site.  Among its' various affiliates is "Project VOTE", which is a group Barry also worked for as an ACORN lawyer.  Convenient, ya think?

Complete coverage here by Michelle Malkin. h/t Michelle.

Steele KOs Blitzer on race

RNC chair Michael Steele gave a verbal beatdown to Wolf Blitzer on last night's "Situation Room" (does anyone even watch that show).  Blitzer tried to drive a point of the Republican Party not being as diverse as the Democrat and about the tea party protesters.

Time to go back to the drawing board, Wolf. Even that wowser technology can't help you this time.

More to NYC ACORN corruption, what will Andrew Cuomo do?

How many tentacles does ACORN have?  Thanks to New York's crazy laws, candidates for office can appear on the ballots with multiple parties.  It's possible to win office by adding up all the party line votes.

One such party in NYC is Working Families Party.  Well, they're about a party, but not working families.  So what are they?  Well, here's a clue: Bertha Lewis, the co-chair of the Working Families Party is the executive director of the New York office of ACORN.  Oh, and that's not just all.

From biggovernment.com:

But more importantly, the Working Families Party is a criminal enterprise utilizing a for-profit political consulting firm, Data and Field Services (DFS) to skirt New York City election laws regarding public finance and campaign spending limits.

More information on the ACORN/Working Families Party corruption at Big Government.

A message from the past

In his recent address to Congress, Barry referred to the USA several times as a democracy.  Barry, you might want to pay attention to the following.....

Now, would you kindly refer to our form of government by its' proper term.
